Majority Cycling

Majority Cycling is the situation where:

  1. A is preferred over B
  2. B is preferred over C
  3. C is preferred over A

This kind of irrationality can be used to take push agendas which no clear majority wants using Agenda Manipulation.

This is due to the impossibility of converting individual preferences to social ones in a coherant manner (Arrow's Impossiblity Theorem).
